Chris Paul or Christopher Emmanuel Paul is an American basketball player at the National Basketball Association and playing for the Log Angeles Clippers. He was raised in tight-knit family. He played football in childhood. Later on, he followed his elder brother and chose to become basketball standout. After his high school stint, the Wake Forest University recruited him where he became the important part of the effort of the team to rebuild. In 2005, he was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets into the National Basketball Association. Before becoming the important part of rebuilding effort where he was playing for 6 seasons, he played for Los Angeles Clippers.
As a point guard, he won two Olympic Gold medals and NBA Rookie of the Year. He led National Basketball Association in steals 6 times and assists 4 times. After sophomore season in 2005, Paul declared for NBA draft where he was drafted 4th overall in the first round by the New Orleans Hornets (after Utah’s Andrew Bogut, Illinois’ Deron Williams and Marvin Williams of UNC). The Charlotte Bobcats and Atlanta Hawks also showed great interest on Paul for their franchises. He was assured with a starting position with Hornets. When the New Orleans Gulf Coast area was attacked by the devastating Katrina Hurricane, the team moved to Oklahoma City to play and practice.
