It is not easy to make a list of Amitabh Bacchan movies as he has done some of the best work in some of the biggest hit with great directors and co artist. He is millennium star and one of the greatest human being as well. Amitabh’s performance in his many films had proven that he is the king of Indian film industry. The way he walked and delivered his dialogues were perfect in every movie.

1. Anand (1971)

AnandThe classic story of a terminally ill man who wishes to live life to the full before the inevitable occurs, as told by his best friend.  Directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee with super stars like Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Sumita Sanyal, Ramesh Deo. This movie is revolved around Rajesh Khanna but Amitabh ‘s role in the movie was outstanding.

2. Deewaar (1975)

DeewaarAs a youth, Vijay struggles as a dockworker. Eventually, he becomes a leading figure of the underworld, while younger brother, Ravi, is an educated, upright policeman. But in the end, it all comes down to, who does mother love more? This super hit movie directed by Yash Chopra with stars like Shashi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Neetu Singh, Nirupa Roy.

3. Chupke Chupke (1975)

Chupke ChupkeA newly wedded husband plays a practical joke on his wife’s family with full support from his wife and friends. Directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee with stars like Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaya Bhaduri. It is one of the evergreen comedy movie which is also multi starred.

4. Sholay (1975)

SholayAfter his family is murdered by a notorious and ruthless bandit, a former police officer enlists the services of two outlaws to capture him. Directed by Ramesh Sippy with stars like Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Hema Malini, Amitabh Bachchan.

5. Sharaabi (1984)

SharaabiAmarnath Kapoor has devoted himself to business and money, in the process he neglect his only son, Vicky. Directed by Prakash Mehra with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Bharat Bhushan, Chandrashekhar, C.S. Dubey.

6. Black (2005)

BlackIt is the cathartic tale of a deaf, mute and blind girl, and her teacher who brings a ray of light into her world of BLACK. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Shernaz Patel, Ayesha Kapoor was in lead role. It is one of the best works by Sanjay Leela Bhansali as he made everyone perform in perfect manner.

7. Sarkar (2005)

SarkarThe authority of a man, who runs a parallel government in Mumbai, is challenged. His son rises to face his enemies. Directed Ram Gopal Varma and Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kay Kay Menon, Supriya Pathak was in lead role.

8. Abhimaan (1973)

AbhimaanA popular singer convinces his new wife to enter show-business, but his pride is wounded when she outshines him. Directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri, Asrani, Bindu was in lead role.

9. Don (1978)

DonDon, a wanted criminal, dies in a police chase. DSP D’Silva is the only one who knows about his death, and to get hold of the gang he trains Don-lookalike Vijay. But Vijay faces danger from the police and from within the gang. Directed by Chandra Barot and Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, Pran, Iftekhar was in lead role.

10. Namak Haraam (1973)

Namak HaraamSomnath (Somu) lives in a shanty house in a Delhi slum with his widowed mom, and unmarried sister, Sarla. Directed by  Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Simi Garewal, Rekha was in lead role.  “ Amitabh had a small role here he has a parallel role against the Super Star Rajesh Khanna and both have done their role well. ”
