Shraddha Kapoor was born on March 3, 1989 to Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kolhapure Kapoor. She is a rising face in film industry that made her debut in 2010 with a drama film Teen Patti, also starring R. Madhavan and Amitabh Bachchan. The film got negative reviews but her performance was widely acclaimed. She had a very little role in her debut film. After that, she got her first lead role in Luv Ka The End (2011). She got nominated in Filmfare Award for Best Actress for romantic drama Aashiqui 2 in 2013. The film was superhit in box office. After that, she was featured in another superhit film Ek Villain in 2014 and ABCD 2 in 2015.
She is the youngest child in her family after two children and she is the niece of the well-known actress Padmini Kolhapure. She did her schooling in Juhu at Jamnabai Narsee School and her high school was completed in Boston. She was passionate about acting since very tender age. During her high school, she joined theatre classes. Later, she learnt acting and diction under Mohit Tugnait. She did workshops for Teen Patti with Barry John and Royston Abel with several group meetings and script readings with Leena Yadav, director.
